From WWFM: “The 2025 July 4 week kicks Monday (6/30) off with this annual broadcast of music assembled from live and recorded performances by the Brooklyn-based chamber orchestra The Knights, with guests Brooklyn Rider.
On this broadcast of American music, The Knights and string quartet Brooklyn Rider perform music by Allison Loggins-Hull, the Mexican born singer/arranger Magos Herrera, Patrick Zimmerli, Osvaldo Golijov and Reena Esmail. The program also includes a work by Colin Jacobson, who co-founded both ensembles with his brother Eric, written in homage to American composer Ruth Crawford Seeger. The two brothers join David Osenberg as hosts.”
