From WQXR: “Despite an ill-timed early summer thunderstorm, the first broadcast of the 2015 Naumburg Bandshell concerts took place June 23 in Central Park. The curtailed program featured the Knights, an innovative orchestral collective from Brooklyn. Conducted by cellist and co-founder Eric Jacobsen, the program features music by Schubert, Dvořák and Ligeti (pieces by Arvo Pärt and Zhou Long were dropped due to the weather). Jeff Spurgeon hosted the broadcast. In the below audio, he speaks with Eric Jacobsen about the program's concept”
