Has played with The Knights since: 2007.
Favorite aspects of The Knights: the collision of personalities and ideas that create an artistic "big bang" out of every project, the sense of belonging to a musical family.

In 2011, Michael was commissioned by New York City Ballet to create new orchestrations based on Stevens’ album Run Rabbit Run for a new ballet by choreographer Justin Peck. Michael conducted the world premiere in October 2012 at Lincoln Center, which was hailed as “a triumph” by The New York Times.
